The controller for this 0.5HP/374w Surface Water Pump System includes proprietary technologies – capabilities don’t exist anywhere else – that convert solar DC energy into clean digital AC power. This runs our high-efficiency three-phase motor/pump – designed specifically for solar.

Our advanced controller technology allows you to get more and do more with fewer panels. Fewer panels means a smaller footprint and less cost. Compare with other systems that require up to ten 300w panels for similar performance and output.

The SMS controller applies Intelligent Power Management; As input power fluctuates (dawn, dusk, shadowing), the SMS controller recalculates for the compensated run sequence, automatically adjusts the motor at a revised speed and torque based on the available light – reducing start/stop cycles. We dynamically manage changing solar input using our proprietary High Frequency Interleaved Booster technology, .

In low light conditions, when other systems fail to start or simply shut down – an SMC controlled motor/pump keeps running and automatically adjusts for maximum performance. When sunlight falls below the critical minimum (night time) the motor shuts down and automatically restarts when light resumes (morning).

We selected the highest quality components: high-grade silicon steel core, F Class insulation, brass impeller, a stainless steel shaft, an electrostatic high-grade PU paint coating to ensure no bare metal remained, and we machine wound the core using our proprietary design to further enhance performance.

*More cost-effective. In general, 3-phase AC motors offer more features, are more efficient and provide a better power factor than single-phase motors. AC motors have no capacitors or internal switches to wear out – they are more reliable, lighter, requiring less maintenance.
